About Neuron Industries
America deserves abundance.
Neuron Industries is rebuilding industrial automation from the hardware up. We’re building Cortex AIC, an AI-native industrial controller, and Synapse, the development environment engineers use to program, test, deploy, and debug it.
We build the hardware and software together. Our work makes industrial systems easier to develop and dependable on the factory floor.
Come help us build the next generation of American manufacturing.
The role
You're one of our first sales hires. The founders still close every deal; your job is to make sure they never run out of at-bats. You find the hard-tech companies that fit, reach the controls engineer or plant manager who feels the pain, and book them into a meeting they're glad they took. We're hiring two or three of you, and we promote from within: this seat is the front door to our go-to-market team.
What you'll build
• Build the target list with our ICP screen: hard-tech factories, process plants, and machine builders. Quality in, quality out.
• Run personalized outbound every day: email, LinkedIn, phone, and the occasional trade-show floor. Volume matters, and 200 dials is a normal day, but nothing goes out that reads like a bot.
• Hit the road about 25% of the time: door-to-door pitching at industrial parks and machine shops, and first-pass demos on the prospect's floor. The founders close; you open.
• Qualify inbound and outbound alike: real pain, real authority, real timeline. Kill bad fits fast.
• Book and prep the founders' meetings: a tight brief before every call. Who they are, what hurts, what to demo.
• Keep the CRM honest: every touch logged, every follow-up on time, pipeline numbers the founders can trust.
• Work events with us: conferences and industry events, pre-booked meetings, same-day follow-up.
• Run an AI-first desk with judgment: agents draft your research and first passes, and you do the thinking and the personal touch. We dial in messaging by hand before we automate anything.
What you've already proven
• Evidence of grit with a scoreboard: sports, service, a side business, door-to-door, anything where you kept score and kept going. This job is taking a hundred no's to find the yes.
• You write short, sharp, and human. Your cold email sounds like a person who did their homework, because you did.
• Phone and doorstep courage. You'll cold call and cold walk into machine shops and rocket factories, and a no doesn't dent you.
• Genuine curiosity about how things get made. You'll learn to talk shop with controls engineers, and you'll like it.
• Organized to a fault: follow-ups never drop, notes are current, and you can tell us exactly where every prospect stands.
• Coachable and hungry for feedback. We'll review calls and emails together every week, and you'll want more of it.
• You already use AI to research and draft faster, and you know an automated-sounding email is worse than no email.
• Able to travel about 25% of the time, and to work on-site at our Gardena, CA office 5 days a week when you're not on the road.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
What gets you here faster
• Prior SDR or BDR time, especially for technical or industrial products.
• You've seen a shop floor: family business, trade, internship, or a job that got your hands dirty.
• You've sold something before. Retail, fundraising, and door-to-door all count.
Annual base salary: $65,000–$85,000 USD. Annual commission at target: $30,000–$35,000 USD. Annual on-target earnings (OTE): $95,000–$120,000 USD, including base salary and commission. OTE assumes achievement of the targets in the commission plan; actual variable pay depends on performance.
Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $65,000 – $85,000 per year.

We use AI tools throughout engineering to accelerate research, implementation, testing, and documentation. We check the results and remain accountable for what ships.
What you get
