Job Description We are looking for a friendly and organized Retail Shop Assistant to join our team in Cork, Ireland. In this customer-focused role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional service to our customers while maintaining a well-organized and welcoming shopping environment. You will work collaboratively with your team to ensure smooth daily operations and contribute to a positive customer experience. • Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products and making purchasing decisions • Process customer transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system • Handle cash, card payments, and other payment methods with accuracy and integrity • Stock shelves and displays with merchandise, ensuring products are organized and clearly priced • Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal throughout your shift • Develop and demonstrate product knowledge to answer customer questions and provide recommendations • Support team members in achieving store goals and maintaining a positive work environment • Monitor inventory levels and report stock shortages to management • Follow company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines • Assist with store opening and closing procedures as assigned Qualifications • Proven customer service experience in a retail or similar environment • Experience handling cash and operating point-of-sale systems • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment • Excellent time management and organizational skills • Physical ability to lift, carry, and stock merchandise regularly • Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed • Preferred: Previous retail experience in a similar store setting • Preferred: Familiarity with inventory management systems • Preferred: Product knowledge relevant to the retail category Additional Information About Aramark Aramark Ireland is a leader in food, facilities, and workplace services, supporting clients across healthcare, education, business, and the public sector.
