Responsibilities include writing functional specification documents and integration test scripts. Incumbent will demonstrate expertise in the end-to-end workflows in transportation domain and should be able to coordinate with upstream and downstream teams to provide right solutions. This role requires close collaboration with business teams to understand As-Is processes, identify functional & non-functional requirements and translate them into software requirements. This involves the collection, analysis, and prioritization of requirements from the product management, support and business sources. The role is viewed as skilled in IT development methodologies, application development and troubleshooting of distributed application. The position manages the completion of own work assignments and coordinates work with others. Based on past experiences and knowledge, the incumbent works in close collaboration with peers & other IT teams. Role Responsibilities - Functional & Technical skills: • Knowledge of supply chain & expertise in transportation logistics (International & Domestic planning, Inbound, Outbound, Multi-mode - Ocean, Air, Ground, Freight Analytics, Consolidation, Optimization etc.) • Demonstrated expertise in any of the standard industry solutions for transportation planning such as Blue Yonder TMS, Oracle/SAP TM etc. • Demonstrated functional analyst skills with exposure of application life cycle (Waterfall and Agile methodologies) • Demonstrated expertise in leading requirement gathering session with business & operations team • Perform requirement analysis and translate that into functional specifications understandable by programmers/testers • Creates and maintains well designed and written test plans • Assist the Project Manager (Development) & Team Leader (Support) in the execution of project schedules • Own functional solution and be the single point contact for the technical team on requirements • Knowledge on SQL queries, object-oriented/Functional programming & IT Architecture (GOOD TO HAVE) • Experience in one or more relational databases such as Oracle, MYSQL Operational & Behavioural Competencies: • Develop and maintain deep technical and business knowledge of the transportation solutions • Work on multiple problems or projects simultaneously • Proficient in IT application development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile) • Participate in root-cause analysis of technical incidents. • Excellent communication skills. Ability to lead collaboration with cross-functional & business teams across multiple geographies.
