Job Summary Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our surgical team. This full-time, hospital-employed position offers the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team that is committed to delivering exceptional surgical care and improving patient outcomes. The selected physician will be joining two full-time, experienced cardiothoracic surgeons, providing a strong foundation of clinical expertise, mentorship, and collaborative support within the program. Position Highlights • Competitive Compensation & Benefits Package • Guaranteed Base Salary: $725,000-$900,000 • Sign-on bonus up to $150,000 • $50,000 fellowship stipend • Relocation reimbursement up to $25,000 • Continued Medical Education time and reimbursement • 250 cases per year covering Cardiac Surgery only • 1 in 3 call • 24 hour in house dedicated PA/NP coverage • Dedicated CT ICU • Positive work environment with a supportive and collaborative team • EPIC EMR with Provider Support team • Great opportunity for recent graduates Education/Experience Requirements REQUIRED: • Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) and successful completion of a residency and internship. • Experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, which may include residency in a directly related medical specialty. • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care. • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards. • Knowledge of community medical diagnostic and patient care services in area of medical expertise. • Ability to supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals and/or students in area of expertise. • Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage. • Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops. • Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise. • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. • Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements. • Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress. • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
