Job Summary
The client is looking for an experienced practical, business-oriented Commercial Construction attorney to support a broad range of projects across the client’s Distribution Center and Facilities business teams (DC&F) This role will be instrumental in helping the client manage a significant backlog volume of construction-related legal matters, support operational projects, and develop more efficient contracting processes.
Job Responsibilities:
• Draft and negotiate construction agreements of all sizes, master services agreements, engineering agreements, facilities maintenance and repair contracts, CapEx project agreements, and vendor/subcontractor agreements.
• Support distribution center infrastructure projects ranging from routine site work (sidewalk repair, pest control, rack repair/replacement) to full build-outs requiring grading and hauling, steel, HVAC, conveyor systems, and other specialty trades.
• Advise on risk associated with integration of disciplines on an active project site, including outage/forced-downtime exposure and how repair or maintenance work interacts with ongoing facility operations.

• BONUS: Construction attorney who also has taken on real estate issues including leasing, easements, and encumbrances post-build-out for a customer.
Additional Insights
Logistics, warehousing, or distribution center environments strongly preferred. Manufacturing, utilities, or energy infrastructure development backgrounds are also a strong fit given the heavy engineering component.
