Job Title: Warehouse Associate Location: Hauppauge, NY 11788 Pay Rate: $19.00 – $21.00 / hour (Depending on Experience) Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Position Type: Full-time, Temp to Hire Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Associate to join our team in Hauppauge, NY. The ideal candidate will handle receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and material handling responsibilities. Forklift experience is required for this role. Key Responsibilities Receiving & Material Handling • Safely operate forklift equipment to move, load, and unload materials throughout the facility. • Manually unload trailers and count, check weigh, or measure incoming packages/materials. • Inspect incoming shipments for damage, loss, or defects, and report discrepancies to the Supervisor. • Read case labels accurately and palletize case products for proper put-away. • Maintain clean and organized trailers and receiving workspaces daily. Shipping & Fulfillment • Pick, package, and prepare outgoing shipments in accordance with pick/pack lists and customer requirements. • Examine outgoing shipments to ensure products meet all delivery specifications and guidelines. • Optimize warehouse space and efficiently utilize freight space during packing and staging. Safety & Compliance • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for daily tasks and equipment operation. • Comply with all company safety and environmental policies, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). • Perform daily and weekly cleaning routines as required by facility guidelines. Qualifications & Requirements • Forklift Experience: Required. • Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent; minimum of 1 year of warehouse/material handling experience preferred. • Technical Skills: Knowledge of warehouse equipment, material handling procedures, and the ability to read specification sheets. • Instructions: Strong ability to read, understand, and carry out verbal and written instructions. Physical Requirements • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods. • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. • Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
