Job: Extrusion Operator Pay: $22hr Location: New Hope, MN Schedule: M-F, 11pm - 7:30am Full Time, Temp to Hire Extrusion Operator Job Description: PrideStaff is working with a large manufacturing facility in search of an experienced Extrusion Operator. The Extrusion Operator will be responsible for the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of extrusion equipment. The Extrusion Operator will play a key role in ensuring the highest quality product is produced safely and efficiently, meeting customer specifications and delivery timelines. The ideal Extrusion Operator has a strong mechanical aptitude, experience in a manufacturing environment, and demonstrates excellent problem-solving and communication skills. The Extrusion Operator is a full-time, temp to hire position in New Hope, MN. Extrusion Operator Job Responsibilities: • Set Up, Start, and Run All Extrusion & Mixing Machinery While Constantly Monitoring Controls for Adherence to Operating Procedures & Safety Guidelines • Accurately Weigh Ingredients to Meet Exact Recipe Specifications & Load Materials Into Machinery • Visually & Physically Examine Materials to Ensure They Conform to Established ISO & Quality Standards • Take Samples to the Lab for Evaluation & Perform Batch Adjustments as Directed by Leadership • Monitor Production Runs, Troubleshoot Processing or Equipment Issues, & Escalate Complex Problems as Needed • Maintain Accurate Digital & Physical Records, Ensuring All System Inputs, Logs, & Data Reports Are Documented • Perform Thorough Machine Cleanings During Product Changeovers • Maintain Top-Tier Departmental Housekeeping, Safety Standards, & Proper Working Conditions at All Times • Must Adhere to All Safety & PPE Requirements, Including Use of Safety Glasses, Steel-Toe Shoes, Dust Masks, Respirators, and Hearing Protection Extrusion Operator Job Requirements & Working Conditions: • High School Diploma or GED Required • 1+ Years of Experience in Industrial Manufacturing Required (Plastics or Chemical Industry Preferred) • Previous Experience Specifically Focused on Extrusion, Blending, Mixing, or Colorant Manufacturing Preferred • Strong Mechanical Aptitude & Intermediate Manual Dexterity • Solid Quantitative Math & Reading Comprehension Skills Required • Familiarity With Basic Software Tools Including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) & Internet Navigation • Excellent Problem-Solving, Communication, & Basic Conflict-Resolution Skills • Physical Ability to Regularly Stand, Walk, Stoop, Kneel, Crouch, & Lift/Move Up to 55 lbs Frequently (Up to 250 lbs With Assistance) • Strong Vision Abilities (Close, Distance, Color, & Depth Perception) Required for Product Quality Checks • Must be Comfortable Working in a Plant Environment With Exposure to Moving Parts, Dust, Fumes, & Varying Temperatures PrideStaff Hiring Requirements: • Must be 18+ Years Old • Must be Willing to Submit to a Pre-Employment Background Check • Must be Willing to Submit to a Drug Screen • Must be Able to Provide Proof of Eligibility to Work in The U.S. Enhance your career with a full-time job, with a great company, competitive wages, and let PrideStaff support you in your future employment endeavors.
