Welder Shift/Hours: Monday – Friday (First Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) Pay Range: $19.00 – $23.00 / hour (DOE) Location: Fort Myers, FL Responsibilities & Requirements • Join, shape, and construct steel and aluminum assemblies (MIG/TIG) following complex architectural blueprints and technical drafts. • Decipher fabrication diagrams, structural plans, and material callouts to execute bespoke builds. • Assess raw stock and select optimal fit-up strategies, heat settings, and tooling layouts for each job. • Execute clean cuts, precise joints, and durable welds independently with strong self-direction. • Audit completed assemblies for penetration, dimensional accuracy, seamless finish, and load-bearing strength. • Maintain strict safety protocols while using shop tools, including angle grinders, band saws, hydraulic presses, and ironworkers. • Proven track record in structural welding or custom sheet metal fabrication within a production facility or trade shop. • AWS certification or trade school credential strongly favored, though hands-on expertise is prioritized.
