Position: Mechanical Quality Control Inspector Location: Hauppauge, NY Company/Industry: Well-established aerospace company Schedule: On-site, Mon-Fri Salary: $25 - $32 per hour, depending on experience, with flexibility for the right candidate Type: Direct Hire with benefits Key Responsibilities • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine inspection requirements • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on sheet metal parts, machined parts, and assemblies • Conduct First Article Inspections using appropriate measurement methods • Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other hand tools for dimensional checks • Perform CMM-related inspection tasks (experience preferred) • Inspect raw materials and verify compliance with quality standards • Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and metrics • Ensure equipment is properly used, maintained, and safe • Communicate findings to quality management and production teams Required Qualifications • 3+ years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing • Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes • Ability to read blueprints and GD&T • Proficiency with hand measuring tools • Ability to independently inspect sheet metal, machined parts, and assemblies • Computer proficiency • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs • Experience with AS9100 environments preferred • CMM experience preferred • U.S. Citizenship required • High school diploma or equivalent Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $25.00 - $32.00
