Position: Supervisor - EHS No. of Positions: 1 Grade: E Band → TC7 Experience: 15-20 Years Location: Project Site (India / Overseas) Role Summary The Supervisor - EHS is responsible for overseeing and implementing Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) practices at project sites to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. The role involves supervising day-to-day safety activities, monitoring contractor compliance, conducting inspections and audits, identifying hazards, and ensuring adherence to statutory, client, and organizational safety requirements. The incumbent will work closely with project teams, contractors, and workers to promote a strong safety culture and achieve zero accident objectives across all phases of project execution. The position requires extensive experience in construction, infrastructure, renewable energy, transmission & distribution, industrial, or EPC projects, with strong expertise in field safety management, risk assessment, incident prevention, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Supervise implementation of EHS policies, standards, and procedures at project sites. Ensure compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and company safety standards. Monitor site activities and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards. Conduct daily site inspections, safety observations, and workplace audits. Support Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) activities for ongoing operations. Ensure implementation of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and safe work procedures. Monitor Permit to Work (PTW) systems for high-risk activities. Supervise safety requirements related to work at height, lifting operations, excavation works, electrical activities, welding, and confined space entry. Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, induction programs, and awareness campaigns. Ensure proper usage and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance with EHS requirements. Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, property damages, and unsafe occurrences. Assist in preparing incident reports and implementing corrective and preventive actions. Participate in emergency response planning and emergency drills. Ensure availability and maintenance of emergency equipment and firefighting systems. Maintain safety records, registers, training records, inspection reports, and statutory documents. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, supervisors, and client representatives on safety matters. Monitor environmental compliance requirements including waste management and pollution control measures. Promote behavioral safety initiatives and proactive safety culture among workforce. Support periodic internal and external EHS audits and compliance reviews.
