Emergency Psych Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Psych Services department is a vital member of the patient care team, accountable for direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all designated areas. This role involves developing and updating individualized, interdisciplinary plans of care, assessing patient outcomes, and identifying available resources for patients. The Crisis Psychiatric Unit caters to patients aged 5 and older with psychiatric illnesses. Common diagnoses include major depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorder, and psychotic disorders. Additionally, the unit serves patients requiring detoxification services. Job Requirements Education: • 2-Year Associate’s degree required • Valid State of Maine RN license • BLS Certification required • CPI training must be current prior to start Experience: • At least 1 year of previous experience in mental health nursing required Additional Skills Required: • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills • Strong team player • Ability to manage stress effectively and make decisions under pressure • Flexibility to provide coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Shift Information Nights, 7 PM to 7 AM Holiday Coverage Required
