What you’ll do: • Teach Art and Portfolio Developmnet: Teach weekly museum quality art and portfolio development using a wide variety of media • Ensure Student Success: Ensure student success in the studio and lab by actively engaging with students and teachers to observe, document and communicate their progress and opportunities for growth • Implement One River Methodology Curriculum: Implement the One River Method through each class effectively. All teachers have the opportunity to contribute to lesson plan development and are paid extra for doing so • Run a best-in-class studio: Clean and organize studio spaces and student artwork • Student Exhibitions: Direct your students to produce high quality work for their exhibitions. Keep track of their progress to ensure the exhibition work is completed on time for each show. Requirements: • BA/BS in Visual Art, Art Education or Design (Master’s a plus) or equivalent professional experience • High School art teacher experience preferred • Strong understanding of professional portfolio development • 5+ years experience teaching visual arts.
