Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineer – Aerospace (Hauppauge, NY) Salary: Open / DOE | Full-Time | On-Site A growing aerospace engineering and manufacturing company in Hauppauge, NY is seeking a Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineer with direct aerospace manufacturing experience. This role focuses on optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and supporting advanced manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities • Evaluate, design, and improve production processes and manufacturing workflows • Implement lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste, cost, and cycle time • Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and flowcharts • Conduct time studies, line balancing, and process optimization • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to integrate new methods • Identify bottlenecks and develop corrective actions • Support introduction of new tools, equipment, and technologies • Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards and safety regulations • Assist with facility layout, workstation design, and production line planning • Perform root cause analysis for quality or efficiency issues • Train production staff on new processes and procedures • Track KPIs related to productivity, cost reduction, and quality Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering • Experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methodologies • Experience with process mapping, time studies, and workflow optimization • Proficiency with CAD software and ERP systems • Strong analytical and problem?solving skills • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities • Aerospace manufacturing experience required Preferred Qualifications • Master’s degree in a related field • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement • Experience with automation, robotics, or Industry 4.0 technologies Working Conditions • Full?time, on?site role • Occasional travel to vendors or production sites • Requires PPE in certain areas • May involve standing/walking for extended periods Compensation & Benefits • Salary open based on experience • Paid time off • Medical, dental, life insurance • FSA options • 401(k) with company match Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $80,000.00 - $120,000.00
