Job Title: Operator 1, Modulator Winder Department: Coil Department Job Type: Full time, non-exempt Location: Tinley Park, IL (100% on-site) Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Compensation: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour, depending on skillset and experience level Position Summary: PrideStaff is seeking an Operator 1, Modulator Winder responsible for the assembly and testing of components used in the manufacturing of fiber optic gyroscopes in Tinley Park, IL. Key Responsibilities: • Wind fiber around the modulator using a winding machine and benchtop magnifier. • Apply adhesive with a nematic dispenser and UV curing wand. • Perform fiber handling and manage torque requirements. • Assemble modulators in the coil assembly. • Complete necessary stock transactions. • Operate Hene Laser equipment. Qualifications & Requirements: • Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required. • Experience: 0 to 1 year of relevant or similar experience is preferred. • Ability to remain at a workstation for extended periods of time during each scheduled shift. • Practice safe operating procedures, keep the work area clean, and report all safety hazards. • Possess good verbal and written communication skills. Export Control Requirements: • Separate from employment eligibility, U.S. export license requirements may apply before certain non-"U.S. persons" can access specific technology, software, and hardware necessary for this position. • As such, this position may require ITAR or EAR clearance.
