Ultrasonographer Job Description NO time off will be granted in the first 13 weeks of the contract. General Job Duties The Ultrasonographer will perform various ultrasound procedures and be competent in the following: • Abdominal Ultrasound: Aorta, IVC, liver/biliary, pancreas, spleen, and renal studies including both normal and pathological findings. • Gynecological Ultrasound: Breast, ovaries, adnexa, uterus, pelvis focusing on both normal and pathological conditions. Experience includes post-menopausal, transvaginal, adult, and pediatric studies. • Obstetric Ultrasound: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester assessments, amniocentesis, complications, biophysical profile, gestational age, placental grading, and abnormalities including IUGR. • Neonatal Ultrasound: Examination for congenital anomalies and neonatal head assessments. • Superficial Structures Ultrasound: Abdominal wall, breast, focal masses, hematoma, scrotum & testes, and thyroid evaluations. • Vascular Ultrasound: Carotid duplex, segmental pressure studies, and upper and lower extremity venous and arterial duplex evaluations. Equipment Utilized • Canon i700 • Meditech EMR • Fuji Synapse PACS Qualifications Required skills and minimum years of experience: • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an acute hospital setting. • One or more contracts of experience as a full-time sonographer. Certifications and Licensure Required certifications and registrations: • ARDMS (AB), (OB), (RVT) • Active BLS – must be AHA certified. Shift Information 40-hour shift work with schedule flexibility and potential for floating to other units/departments. Dress Code Personal scrubs and professional healthcare attire are required.
