Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for a temporary, full-time engineering intern to join our Food & Beverage group starting in May/June 2026 and ending in August/September 2026. Responsibilities include: • Assisting engineers with mechanical design for large-scale food and beverage facilities • Performing design calculations; developing engineering design tools • Assisting with project report preparation • Performing field inspections • Additional duties as assigned Some travel to job sites may be required. The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: • Four semesters of college-level coursework in mechanical engineering • Mechanical design coursework in thermodynamics, refrigeration, and/or HVAC • Experience in the design or construction industry • Experience with HVAC load fundamentals • Experience with Microsoft Office software Physical Abilities: • Capacity to work long hours on foot, often in outdoor environments with varying weather conditions • Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
