Job Requirements The Private Swim Instructor is responsible and accountable for providing Quality / No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship by offering superior quality, competitive value, and outstanding service in the form of private swim instruction and coaching at all competency levels. Primary Accountabilities Quality/No Harm: • Design individualized instructional programs based on age and skill level. • Incorporate water safety in all manner of instruction. • Offer the finest swim instruction available in Brevard County, bar none. • Maintain National Certification and stay abreast of developments in the field of swim instruction and stroke refinement. Customer Experience: • Strive to “connect” with clients on a personal, yet professional, level. • Communicate effectively and professionally in all situations. Stewardship: • Complete client paperwork and/or insure that paperwork/payment is properly completed before beginning lessons. • Begin and end lessons at assigned time. • Properly track and record time spent with client. • When appropriate, recommend that client continue with additional private swim sessions. Work Experience QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification. • WSI, SwimAmerica, ASCA, or other nationally recognized Swim Instructor/Coach. • Certification, as approved by Pro-Health & Fitness Centers. • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Ability to assist clients as necessary in the water. • Ability to teach all ages and skill levels. • Must perform necessary water safety skills for emergency situations, as dictated by the EAP. • All duties deemed necessary by supervisor. MENTAL DEMANDS: • Ability to work with all ages and skill levels. • Must maintain professional demeanor and conduct in all situations (every "patient" every time). • All duties deemed necessary by superviso.
