Overview Reports to the Patient Care Manager. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, the CNA provides specific direct patient care activities and performs related support functions within his/her scope of responsibility as specified in this job description. Responsibilities • Responds appropriately in an emergent situation as per hospital policy. • Utilizes principles of Infection Control in the delivery of care. • Accurately performs and records vital signs including blood pressure • Monitors and records patient intake and output accurately • Provides for patient’s personal care needs-hygiene, toileting, feeding and bed making • Performs waive testing according to policy and procedure • Observes care of patients on suicidal, constant and safety precautions • Transport patients as assigned. • Implements restraints according to policy and procedure. Qualifications High School or GED required. BCLS and completed certified Nursing Assistant course.
