Responsibilities & Requirements The Medical Office Assistant Float supports patient care, safety, and access by performing administrative tasks in a medical office or outpatient setting. This role ensures efficient front office operations, accurate recordkeeping, and a welcoming environment for patients and visitors. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program. Required Education: • High school diploma or equivalent. Required Work Experience: • None required • experience in a healthcare or medical office setting preferred. Required Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations: • None required at hire. Skills: • Basic computer proficiency, including use of electronic health record (EHR) systems • strong written and verbal communication • attention to detail • ability to multitask and prioritize • customer service orientation • basic understanding of medical terminology • ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Preferred Qualifications Preferred Education: • Completion of a medical assisting or medical office administration program from an accredited institution. Preferred Work Experience: • One year of experience in a medical office, outpatient clinic, or healthcare administrative support role.
