Description Position: Facility / Grounds Assistant Division: Gebhart Holdings/Property Management Division Status: Full Time/Hourly Position POSITION SUMMARY: The Facility / Grounds Assistant position will be cross trained to support all Divisions and Properties with general building maintenance, light construction, lawn care and snow removal. REPORTS TO: General Manager of Property Management Division SUPERVISES: N/A ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide internal customer service to all properties • Lawn care: mowing, trimming, weeding, blow off walks and parking lots • Snow removal: shoveling, operate snow blower and/or plow truck, spread salt • General building maintenance • General building construction and painting • Loading / unloading materials & furniture • Additional projects assigned by management team • Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position • Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: • High school diploma preferred but not required. • Experience with basic mechanical, construction and/or lawncare preferred but not required Requirements COMPETENCIES: • Must be a team player and work well in a group environment • Self-starter that takes initiative along with analytical skills • Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills • Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs. • Physical Requirements: Exerting up to fifty (50) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to twenty-five (25) pounds of force frequently, and/or up to twenty (20) pounds of force constantly to move objects. • Conditions: Subject to environmental conditions including weather and temperature changes. • Visual Acuity: ability to operate machinery and determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned including making general observations of facilities.
