Responsibilities include: • setting up, operating, maintaining and cleaning the sterile Extended Shelf Life (ESL) filling equipment • monitoring caps, codes, weights and carton integrity • tasting products for quality • maintaining sterility of equipment related to ESL filling and conveying • maintaining sterility in the ESL filling area at all times • maintaining a hygienic, tightly controlled environment for the packaging of ESL products • disassembling and reassembling fillers and associated equipment for cleaning and ensuring they are safe and sterile • manual and hand cleaning of the equipment in the ESL packaging area • cleaning the environment of the filling room • operating and documenting daily CIP and sterilization activities of the equipment • operating the floor cleaner and scrubbing equipment • accurately recording daily production data and regulatory information and verifying they are within the established control limits for proper operation • performing laboratory tests and monitoring weight control of product • producing a quality product in a manner that meets Publix and regulatory standards • performing minor repairs, preventative maintenance and mechanical adjustments as needed and • other duties as assigned.
