Our employees work on the world’s most advanced electronics from detecting threats for F35 pilots to illuminating the night for soldiers. Spanning air, land, sea, and space, we are developing the technology of tomorrow, delivered today. Drawing strength from our differences, we are innovating for the future. And you can too with BAE Systems Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS). ECS has technology, engineering and programs teams to deliver leading Electronics Warfare capabilities.
This is a fully remote position with choice between a 4/10 schedule (Mon-Thurs) or a 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off). NOTE: employee will initially train on site until independent enough to work remotely effectively.
BAE Systems is looking for a Technical Writer to support F-35 manufacturing by working closely with process engineering and other production teams. This role mainly consists of the creation and updates of process work instructions that the manufacturing team uses to build, inspect, and test electronics. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and must work well with others in a team environment. They must have the ability to learn how to use new computer software as the bulk of tasks for this role are completed in BAE’s own homegrown manufacturing execution system. These manufacturing instructions contain technical writing, engineering drawings, parts lists, and pictures/diagrams to explain how processes are executed or how equipment is operated.
