A leading multidisciplinary engineering and consulting firm is looking to appoint a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join its growing water team near Allentown. This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer to take a leading role in the delivery of critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects, provide technical direction, develop client relationships, and mentor the next generation of engineering professionals. Working across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure programs, you will contribute to projects that improve water quality, protect public health, and support more resilient and sustainable communities. Key Responsibilities • Lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects from initial planning and design through construction documentation and delivery. • Work on treatment facilities, water distribution networks, wastewater collection systems, pump stations, PFAS treatment, and infrastructure rehabilitation. • Prepare and review engineering designs, technical reports, calculations, specifications, and contract documents. • Provide technical guidance, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior engineers. • Conduct engineering studies and investigations while ensuring compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and quality requirements. • Support client relationships and business development through proposals, presentations, and technical consultations. Requirements • 8+ years of relevant engineering experience in water and wastewater infrastructure. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; a master’s degree is preferred. • Professional Engineer (PE) license required. • Strong technical knowledge of water and wastewater design, engineering standards, and infrastructure delivery. • Experience with engineering software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D. • Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to guide teams and build client relationships.
