Key Responsibilities • Responsible for taking guests orders over the phone, entering orders into the POS system accurately, and coordinating with the kitchen and delivery staff to ensure timely and efficient service. • Answer incoming room service calls promptly and courteously. • Provide menu information, recommendations, and upsell additional items to enhance guest experience. • Communicate special requests and dietary needs to the kitchen staff. • Monitor and follow up on the status of orders to ensure timely delivery. • Handle guest complaints or concerns efficiently, escalating issues to the supervisor when necessary. • Maintain accurate records of all room service transactions. • Ensure the room service area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. • Assist with inventory control and restocking as needed. • Adhere to hotel policies and procedures. • Participate in training sessions and team meetings. • Set up and maintain cleanliness and condition of the service area and restaurant. • Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs. • Complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank. • Complete closing duties. • Be prepared to answer guest questions about the menu in a direct, concise way. • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the supervisor; and complete safety training and certifications. • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team to reach common goals. • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager. Qualifications • Hospitality oriented • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds • Ability to stand, walk, and carry items for extended periods of time • Able to work quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure • Able and willing to perform basic cleaning duties • Excellent communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and a commitment to providing outstanding guest service • Previous experience in a similar role in a hotel or restaurant is preferred • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays • Fully Bilingual (English/Spanish).
