Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour Job description: Location: Denton Elementary Dates: 11-2-2026 to 12-18-2026 Time: 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM Schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Friday Age: 4th - 6th Position Overview We are seeking an engaging and knowledgeable Music Production Instructor to lead interactive, one-day workshops for library participants. This session will introduce students to the basics of music production, including beat-making, sound mixing, and creative expression through digital tools. This is a short-term, one-day opportunity ideal for instructors who are passionate about music, technology, and inspiring creativity in a group setting. Key Responsibilities • Lead a 1-hour, hands-on music production workshop • Introduce basic concepts such as beats, rhythm, sampling, and digital audio tools • Engage participants with interactive demonstrations and guided activities • Create a fun, inclusive, and beginner-friendly learning environment • Manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive experience for all participants • Arrive prepared with lesson materials and any necessary equipment (if applicable) Qualifications • Experience in music production, beat-making, or audio engineering • Ability to teach and engage students of varying skill levels (likely beginners) • Strong communication and classroom management skills • Reliable, punctual, and professional • Prior teaching or youth program experience is a plus Preferred Skills • Familiarity with music production software (e.g., GarageBand, FL Studio, Ableton, etc.) • Experience working in workshops, camps, or educational settings • Ability to adapt lesson plans to different group sizes and skill levels Additional Details • This is a one-day per location commitment • Instructors may be hired for one or both sessions • All sessions take place onsite at Columbus Public Library branches Experience: • Music Production: 5 years (Required) • Teaching: 1 year (Required) Ability to Commute: • Visalia, CA 93279 (Required) Work Location: In person
