Full description
A lovely family on the Upper East Side are looking for a warm, easy-going and experienced Nanny to care for their 5.5-month-old baby girl.
Highlights
• Start: ASAP
• Location: Upper East Side, NYC
• Working Hours: TBC - approximately 40 hours per week
• Salary: DOE
Overview:They are looking for a nurturing nanny who is confident with babies and can support the baby's development, routines and upcoming weaning journey.
The baby is generally a good sleeper and naps in her crib. She is currently exclusively breastfed and has been reluctant to take a bottle, so experience supporting families through this stage would be beneficial. They will start weaning soon, so experience with introducing new foods, batch cooking, and allergen introduction is vital. Duties included but not limited to:
• Providing attentive, nurturing care for the baby
• Maintaining and supporting consistent daily routines
• Supporting age-appropriate development and milestones
• Supporting the transition towards bottle feeding, working closely with Mum
• Attending baby groups and planning stimulating activities
• Ensuring plenty of fresh air through walks and outdoor activities
• Monitoring naps, feeding and general wellbeing
• Communicating openly with Mum and working collaboratively
• Keeping the baby's belongings and nursery areas organised
• Potentially travelling with the family in the future
Benefits
• Live-out position
• Friendly family dog who enjoys walks
• Potential future travel opportunities
Key criteria
• Previous experience caring for young babies
• Confident supporting baby routines, naps and developmental milestones
• Proactive and happy to plan baby groups, walks and activities
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
