Travel Pharmacist General Information Position Summary: This role involves providing pharmaceutical care and expertise within a dynamic hospital environment, focusing on the management of complex patient populations. The pharmacist will work closely with healthcare teams to ensure optimal medication therapy outcomes. Unit Specifics • Number of Beds: 463 • Documentation System: Meditech Magic, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, Pyxis, C2 safe • Procedures Performed on Unit: IV verification, Medication verification, IV compounding as needed Scheduling Requirements • Nights: 2030 – 0700 • Evenings: 1430 – 0100 Qualifications • Valid Virginia State Pharmacist license is required • Minimum of two years of hospital experience • Advanced skills in: • Vancomycin AUC dosing • Aminoglycoside dosing • Renal dosing • Warfarin and enoxaparin management • Electrolyte protocols • Heparin and DOAC management Required Skills • Experience with complex patient cases including trauma, burn, critical care, pediatrics, cardiac surgery, and ECMO • Proficiency in Dose Edge, Pyxis, Meditech, and Vigilanz Unit Guidelines/Policies Please refer to the attached policy stat list for unit-specific policies and guidelines.
