Position: Customer Service FCL Associate (El Paso, Texas) Schedule: M- F 8:00 am. to 5:00 pm Salary: $15.00-$16.00 Job Description Main Activities 1 Accurate recordkeeping is essential to the timely and effective transportation of goods, which is a major component of logistics 2 Responsible for outgoing shipments. They determine that the right merchandise is being sent and is in as-ordered condition 3 Keep records on the destination, weight, and charges on all incoming and outgoing freight. They check rate charges by means of rate charts. This work is often automated and computerized. Customer Service Associates also keep a file of claims for overcharges and damage to goods in transit 4 Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes 5 Contact Load Planner to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials 6 Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications 7 Compute amounts, such as space available, and shipping, storage, and charges for delays, using calculator or rate sheets 8 Verify information, operate data entry software such as VIntermodal and Imexnet, and prepare documents 9 Processes information from different departments and customers, and a variety of other forms of documents by resolving inconsistencies and reviewing data for errors using standard data entry procedures 10 Requesting further information for documents that are deemed incomplete 11 Verifying, correcting, deleting unnecessary data, or combining data from several sources before entering into the system 12 Entering information into specific document formats received electronically or hand-written pages or figures contained in electronic files 13 Access online browser-based systems as per customer requirements and other affiliated business entities 14 Scan photos, blueprints and other documents for data input into document management systems such as Synergize or image database 15 Assist when requested to gather and arrange documentation and data for department audits 16 Maintain records of all outgoing and incoming shipments from and to the warehouse and or container yard utilizing VIntermodal and Imexnet 17 Accurately tracks and invoices chassis usage days for import and export operations 18 Partner with Billing Associates to process invoices for customers and/or resolve invoice discrepancies 19 Analyze inventory reports to ensure cargo and/or containers are compliant with allotted free times 20 Oversee and expedite the order life cycle of shipments and Freight Bills to meet and exceed departmentKPI’s 21 Ensure shipment charges are processed through company-approved forms of payment such as CargoSprint,PayCargo, credit, and checks 22 Work with Payables Associates on providing relevant data and documentation for vendor costprocessing 23 Utilize web-based resources and company systems to notify customers of incoming and outgoing cargo and/orcontainers 24 Coordinating with compliance, transportation, warehouse, and terminal teams within the organization for smoothly receiving/ shipping of cargo and/or containers 25 Any other task as required by the Customer Service Supervisor / Manager 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM MST Monday - Friday Salary Range 15 - 16 USD 40.00 hours Weekly Payroll
