The Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at the University of New Mexico invites applications for a full time, 9-month appointment at the rank of Open Rank Lecturer II or III to begin August 02, 2027. The department seeks to hire a Lecturer with knowledge and experience teaching any of the department’s undergraduate courses in the areas of general, analytical, inorganic, organic, chemical biology, or physical chemistry. Graduate teaching is a possibility, depending on the Lecturer’s areas of specialty and department need. In addition, the successful candidate will be teaching in accordance with the Departmental Workload Policy per Spring and Fall Semester, which may include coordinating student assistants, and participation in department service. All Lecturers are reviewed annually. Workload is determined by University policies and Unit 1 Departmental Workload Policies and may include courses for both majors and non-majors.
