The Role: In this role, you will: • Design moderate to complex printed circuit board layouts with digital, analog, RF, power circuits and interconnect applications • Place and route components ensuring all electrical and physical specifications meet the specific design requirements for each PCB design • Participate in design reviews, interface with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing and process engineers to design prototype and production quality printed circuit boards in accordance with BAE Systems’ standards and procedures • Create fabrication and assembly drawings, parts lists and incorporate changes to existing design documentation • Generate all output files required for the manufacture of boards and assemblies • Create new and make changes to existing schematic drawings using the Cadence schematic tool • Create PCB layouts using Cadence Allegro • Work closely with Design Checkers, various engineering disciplines, designers and technical leads • Provide feedback to design engineers as needed to ensure functionality and manufacturability of PCB designs • Suggest options when faced with challenging PCB design situations including resolution to non-standard problems • Perform other related duties as assigned • Offered as Hybrid or Remote Who you are: • You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills • You are a problem solver with diverse technical capabilities • You’re willing to put in the time and effort it takes to get the job done • You are always looking for ways to do things better and faster
