Dental Assistant Details • Full Time Schedules • Some weekends may be required • 8 hour shifts • Contract Position (flexible with shift availability is a plus) Dental Assistant Duties • Assist the dentist with dental cleanings on inmates • Assist the dentist with dental extractions on inmates • Sterilize dental instruments and equipment • Maintain inmate records • Escort inmates to and from the dental clinic • Assist with seating and preparing inmates for treatment • Provide chairside assistance during procedures Dental Assistant Qualifications • Graduation from an accredited educational institution • Licensed as a Dental Assistant by the State in which the position is located.
