Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Telemetry Unit on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, particularly in telemetry care, and will be committed to providing high-quality patient care. Job Details • Contract Length: 13 Weeks • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts; 1900 – 0730, 3 shifts per week • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend • Holiday Requirement: Flexibility to work one holiday from designated major holiday groups • Floating Requirement: Will float to all acute care units Orientation Details Orientation will include: • First 2 days at KUKC Campus • 3rd and 4th day at Olathe for Director of Nursing training • 5th day virtual Epic training Following the first week, unit orientation will be conducted on day shifts. Experience Requirements • Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry experience is required • Experience with TR Band applications, cardiac drips such as Heparin, Butamid, Lasix, and Cardizem • Familiarity with Tikosyn and Sotalol initiation process Preferred Qualifications • 2-5 years of telemetry experience • No new graduates accepted License and Certification Requirements • Current Kansas RN license • BLS Certification Additional Information • This facility is a nicotine-free environment. • The facility may cancel one shift per 2-week pay period without cost to the facility or compensation for the employee, with a minimum two-hour notice provided through the Smart Square app. Application Process All required credentials must be submitted one week prior to the start date, including CBC, drug screen, and lab work completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance.
