“`html Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical/Neuro Location Nashville, TN Unit Information • Number of Beds: 20 • Patient Ratios: 6:1 • Staffing Description: Tech support available on both day and night shifts; unit secretary on site from 7 AM to 7 PM. • Type of Equipment: IV Pumps, Telemetry, SCDs, Continuous Pulse Oximetry Machines, Feeding Pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, iMobile communication technology. • Documentation System: Meditech. • Scheduling Requirements: Three 12-hour shifts per week; two weekends (four shifts) per four-week schedule. • Floating Policy: Contract labor is the first to float; rotation is used when multiple contract labor staff are scheduled. • Patient Experience Requirements: Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and their families, including bedside shift reports and personal connections. Qualifications • Required Experience: Medical/Surgical experience. • Skills: Ability to prioritize care, multitask, start IVs, basic wound care, maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes. • Licensure: Active RN license. • Certifications: BLS certification required.
