PCU Registered Nurse (RN) Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled PCU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Job Details • Unit Type: Stepdown Acute Care • Shift Length: 12 hours • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week • Years of Experience Required: 1 Year Required Certifications • ACLS (AHA) • BLS (AHA) • NIHSS Shift Information • Shift Times: 0630-1900 or 1830-0700 • Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend • Holiday Requirements: Every third holiday Unit Information • Number of Beds: 35 • Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 • Common Diagnoses: Adults and geriatrics, Cardiac, Nephrology, Strokes, Diabetes Mellitus, Continuous EEG monitoring • Titration Responsibilities: Required to titrate drips (e.g., Cardizem, beta blockers, seizure medications) • Support Staff: Nurse aides/patient care techs with a ratio of 1:10 or 2:20 Daily Responsibilities The PCU Registered Nurse will be expected to deliver efficient and compassionate care while collaborating with the nursing team and other healthcare professionals. Location This position is located in a facility within the vicinity of City, State. Additional Notes Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care. Non-compliance will result in contract termination. RN candidates will need to pass a mandatory open book exam during orientation, with a minimum passing score of 90% required for continued employment.
