Registered Nurse (RN) – ER Job Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room (ER) plays a critical role in assessing, implementing, and evaluating care for patients. The RN directs nursing support staff in accordance with the standards of nursing practice and institutional policies.
