The mandate is the creation of long-term value from customers, markets and relationships — identifying prospective clients in target markets, researching their actual needs, and converting fit into pipeline. You will own the front of the funnel: research, outreach, qualification and first meetings that turn into engagements the delivery cells execute. Targets are real but earned honestly — this practice sells on fit and credibility, not pressure. Research-led means exactly that: no list is worked before the prospect is understood. What you will actually do: • Generate new business opportunities against assigned targets — research-led outreach across political, corporate and institutional prospects • Complete appropriate research on every prospective client before first contact: their situation, their problem, our fit • Analyse competitor activity in the market and feed what you learn into the practice’s differentiators Skills that matter: Prospect research and target-market mapping, Opportunity qualification, Outreach craft: written and verbal first-contact that earns replies, Competitor and market analysis, Pipeline hygiene in CRM (stages, next steps, honest forecasting), Solution framing with the delivery cells before anything is promised.
