The practice’s political clients win on ground truth: what is actually happening in the constituency, said by the people actually saying it. Field reporters are how the practice knows. You will receive assignments or evaluate news leads, gather and verify facts through interview, observation and research, and write stories to editorial standard. The practice’s forecasting record is built on ground truth; field reporting is where that truth enters the building. Everything downstream depends on it being right.
