Prepare structural documentation for US construction projects as part of Flex's engineering team, using AutoCAD and Revit. As a civil engineer at Flex, you will prepare structural documentation for projects in the United States using AutoCAD, Revit and other design software. Responsibilities • Prepare material take-offs from planning documents and engineering drawings, and review those prepared by colleagues. • Prepare structural design calculations, specifications and portions of technical reports. • Develop engineering plans, specifications and quantity estimates for various projects. • Assist with project control activities including document management and monitoring. • Prepare estimates for systems and subsystems, including detailed breakdowns of their components. • Communicate with the New York team about project details. Experience and skills • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management or a related field. • 0–3 years of relevant experience. • Very good knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit experience preferred. • Ability to read construction documentation. • Very good written and spoken English. • Previous construction experience is an advantage.
