## Job Description: Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst (C13) – Java Full Stack Job Title: Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst (Java Full Stack) Job Level / Band: C13 (Vice President ) Primary Location: [Pune/ Hybrid] Function / Group: Technology / Applications Development ## Role Overview The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst (Java Full Stack) is a senior-level technical leadership role responsible for establishing, designing, and delivering high-quality, scalable application systems and software solutions in coordination with cross-functional technology teams. The overall objective of this role is to drive end-to-end applications systems analysis, architectural alignment, full-stack software engineering, and implementation activities across distributed enterprise environments. ## Key Responsibilities ## Technical Leadership & Solution Delivery * System Integration & Product Delivery: Partner with engineering managers, product owners, and multi-disciplinary teams to establish architectural roadmaps, integrate enterprise services, and deliver core system enhancements and new digital capabilities. * Architecture & Engineering Standards: Ensure software and application designs strictly adhere to enterprise architecture blueprints, security baselines, and industry best practices. * Complex Problem Resolution: Resolve high-impact, critical engineering and architectural challenges through in-depth evaluation of complex business flows, technical bottlenecks, system dependencies, and industry standards. * Coding & Quality Governance: Define, champion, and enforce engineering standards for clean code, design patterns, automated unit/integration testing, debugging, code reviews, and release readiness. * Cross-Functional Domain Alignment: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of how application architecture, infrastructure, data management, and business capabilities integrate to achieve business objectives. ## Innovation, AI-Augmented Engineering & Coaching * Innovative Problem-Solving: Apply interpretive thinking and structured analysis to identify complex technical problems, proposing modern, scalable, and resilient technical solutions. * AI-First Software Delivery: Actively leverage generative AI and modern developer-productivity tools to accelerate software delivery cycles, streamline automated test creation, refactor legacy code, and elevate code quality. * Mentorship & Team Guidance: Serve as a technical advisor and mentor to mid-level software engineers and analysts, leading technical discussions and delegating engineering tasks effectively. ## Risk, Compliance & Governance * Risk & Controls Assessment: Appropriately assess risk when business and technical decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding client assets. * Regulatory & Policy Compliance: Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and enterprise standards; apply sound ethical judgment; and escalate, manage, and report control issues with full transparency. ## Qualifications & Technical Competencies ## 1\. Core Backend Software Engineering (Java) * Java Mastery: Advanced, hands-on expertise with Java (Java 17 / 21) and the modern enterprise Java ecosystem. * Frameworks: Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, Spring Data, and Hibernate / JPA. * Microservices Architecture: Proven track record of architecting, implementing, and deploying high-throughput, low-latency, resilient, and secure microservices and distributed processing systems. * Messaging & Event-Driven Systems: Hands-on experience with asynchronous messaging and event streaming technologies (Apache Kafka, Solace, or JMS). * API Standards: Expertise designing and developing enterprise-grade RESTful APIs and gRPC services with strong authentication/authorization patterns (OAuth2, OIDC, mTLS). ## 2\. Modern Frontend Engineering (React / Angular) * Frontend Frameworks: Deep practical experience building modern, responsive web applications using React and/or Angular with TypeScript and modern ECMAScript (ES6+). * State Management & Reactive Programming: Proficiency in state management patterns (Redux / NgRx) and reactive streams using RxJS. * Modern UI & Micro-Frontends: Hands-on experience with Micro-Frontend architectures, standalone components, dynamic routing, and complex enterprise data grids (e.g., AG Grid Enterprise, Elemental UI / Design System components). * Web Fundamentals & Real-Time Data: Strong mastery of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, DOM manipulation, responsive layouts, and bidirectional communication protocols (WebSockets / Server-Sent Events). ## 3\. Database & Data Engineering * Relational Databases (RDBMS): Deep experience with relational data modeling, schema design, advanced SQL tuning, and query optimization on enterprise databases (Oracle,). * NoSQL Data Stores: Practical experience designing, indexing, and maintaining document/key-value NoSQL databases (MongoDB/Couchbase). * High Availability & Scalability: Solid understanding of database clustering, indexing strategies, replica sets, connection pooling, and caching strategies . ## 4\. CI/CD, Containerization & Cloud Operations * Containers & Orchestration: Proven experience containerizing applications using Docker and deploying onto container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes / Red Hat OpenShift). * Enterprise CI/CD Pipelines: Hands-on proficiency configuring automated build, test, and release pipelines using modern enterprise platforms (Harness, Jenkins, Tekton, or GitHub Actions) in Linux environments. * Job Scheduling & Batch Systems: Familiarity with enterprise workload automation and job schedulers (Autosys or equivalent). * Quality & Security Tooling: Experience integrating automated code quality, dependency management, and vulnerability scanning tools (SonarQube, Snyk, Checkmarx). ## 5\. AI-Assisted Engineering * AI-First Tooling: Demonstrated proficiency integrating Generative AI developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or internal LLM coding assistants) into daily development workflows to enhance productivity, code generation, and test coverage. ## Education & Experience * Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred. * Experience: 6–10+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in full-stack software engineering and application architecture, with demonstrated experience leading technical delivery within enterprise environments.
