Ocean Export Operations • Oversee end-to-end ocean export shipments, from booking and documentation to vessel departure and shipment closure. • Manage booking confirmations, container planning, shipping instructions, VGM submissions, and shipping line coordination. • Monitor shipment milestones, vessel schedules, cut-offs, and documentation timelines. • Ensure timely coordination with customs brokers, transporters, shipping lines, overseas agents, and internal teams. • Proactively resolve operational delays, shipment exceptions, and documentation discrepancies. Team & Performance Management • Manage and guide the ocean export operations team, ensuring productivity and adherence to defined SLAs. • Monitor operational KPIs, shipment volumes, turnaround times, and service quality. • Allocate workloads, review team performance, and drive process standardization. • Support team development, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. Customer & Stakeholder Management • Maintain strong customer relationships through timely communication and effective issue resolution. • Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, Pricing, and overseas agents to ensure seamless shipment execution. • Handle escalations and ensure prompt resolution of customer complaints. • Drive customer satisfaction through consistent service delivery and adherence to customer SOPs. Compliance & Cost Management • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, customs regulations, and internal operating procedures. • Monitor detention, demurrage, and other avoidable operational costs. • Ensure timely and accurate shipment documentation, system updates, and billing inputs. • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement corrective actions to improve service quality and cost effectiveness.
