Overview The Environmental Services Assistant reports to the environmental services manager. This position works with other environmental services assistants as part of the environmental services team. Responsibilities Position Accountabilities/Duties: · Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, wiping down counters, cleaning bathrooms, emptying garbage, etc. · Take down and rehang drapes and curtains · Move furniture, beds, and set up rooms Development & Education: · Reading, writing and mathematical skills at level normally acquired through completion of high school or equivalent preferred. Basic UPH Performance Criteria · Demonstrates the UnityPoint Health Values and Standards of Behaviors as well as adheres to policies and procedures and safety guidelines. · Practices and reflects knowledge of HIPAA, DIA, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare. Qualifications Education: • High school diploma/GED or equivalent degree required Experience: • Two years of carpet cleaning, floor refinishing and general housekeeping preferred.
