How you’ll contribute A Pharmacist who excels in this role will: • Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team. • Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug related problems. • Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, and pharmacy students. • Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts. • Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry. • Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians. What we’re looking for Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree (required); Doctoral degree preferred. Additional requirements include: • Pharmacy License in the state of Texas • CPR Certification and De-escalation certification required or obtain within 30 days of hire. • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
