Description To execute daily activities and customer service functions of the ICAT Customs Brokerage and Corporate Operations Departments Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Ensure timely execution of import customs brokerage requests • Classify goods in support of Customs entries or customer inquiries, within the limits of broker authority. • Arrange for payment of duties and taxes • Arrange single entry and continuous bonds • Prepare documents for post-entry corrections, cancellation requests or other refunds • Prepare ISF Filings • Always ensure compliance to governing regulatory requirements • Review, Maintain and manage customs powers of attorney • Work with Corporate Operations staff to monitor and renew corporate certifications, permits and registrations • Assist to develop, document, and maintain best practices through the creation of IOPs (ICAT Operating Procedures) and correlating IOMs (ICAT Operating Manual) • Support the ICAT CX initiative by providing a high level of customer satisfaction and operational proficiency to meet growth and profitability goals as well as providing customers with WOW experiences. • Other duties as assigned Requirements Qualifications & Skill Requirements • Highschool diploma plus experience or Bachelor’s degree preferred, in supply chain management or business administration, or related field • 3+ years in CHB entry-writing experience • Experience in multimodal international logistics (Air/Ocean freight) • Knowledge of: FMC, IMCO, ITAR, TSA, C-TPAT, HAZMAT, DG Certified, US Customs Border Protection (CBP) • Functional knowledge of international regulations and compliance procedures in air/ocean freight • Understanding of the Harmonized Tariff System • Understanding of broker compliance • Understanding of customs power of attorney • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills in a logistics environment • Experience with supply chain management software (ERP systems such as QAD, SBWED, etc.). • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products Key Competencies • Ability to plan and effectively set priorities for implementation • Proven analytic and problem-solving skills in a time-sensitive, logistics environment • Excels at meeting deadlines and demonstrates superior time management skills • Natural ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work setting with a strong attention to detail • Superior communication skills and an ability to motivate people with an emphasis on listening skills • Ability to relate to and successfully interact across a variety of settings and work well with a broad and diverse workforce throughout the organization • Demonstrates ability to work in a client-centric setting • Ability to be flexible as priorities shift • Consistent in follow-up and follow-through • Highly motivated team player with an outgoing and positive work attitude • Credible with a high level of personal integrity • Adaptive to ICAT’s core values Physical Demands and Work Environment: • Most work is performed indoors in an office setting • Flexible approach to work, due to clients’ needs and project support requirements • Regularly use hands to type, handle, or feel • Required to use close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and can focus • Must have clear, easy to understand oral communication ability • Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
