Job Responsibilities: Contributes to the regular and efficient circulation of books in the store through effective stocking of merchandise. Responsible for leading and promoting a customer-friendly store atmosphere by providing exceptional customer assistance. All job duties are performed with a customer-service mindset while working within company policy and procedures. Job Requirements: • Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills. • Customer Service requires patience, kindness, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with diverse communities and customer needs. • Professional telephone skills • Ability to adapt to a flexible working schedule to include early mornings, evenings, midshifts, and weekends. • Diverse Book knowledge. • Understanding of the pricing, trading, and discount systems at Bookmans. • Ability to stock shelves while maintaining alphabetization, organization, and displays. • General knowledge of products sold at Bookmans. • Knowledge of store sections and layout. • Ability to work independently with guidance and direction from the Book Department Supervisor/Lead and Store Management. • Ability to use reference materials. • Must be able to conduct oneself in a civil, professional, and respectful manner at work. This is a part-time position (less than 30 hours per week).
