Job Details: Job Location: GA-GAI Gainesville Admin Office - GAINESVILLE, GA, Salary Range: $12.00 - $12.00Hourly, This position is responsible for: Works in the Christmas center; lifts, carries, loads and unloads variety of donations that may include furniture, appliances, clothing, etc.; works to promote the safety and security of the warehouse; assists with the clean-up, lay out, and set up of the warehouse; assists with possible pick up from the malls or corporations, if necessary. Key Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Lifts and stacks donations in the warehouse; Distributes donations to their proper place as instructed in the warehouse Clean and service assigned areas in the Christmas Center Sweep and/or mop assigned areas as needed Clean restrooms and replenish supplies Pick up trash, empty garbage container, and remove all trash to area for disposal Maintain grounds through picking up trash as needed Maintains good relationship with donors to promote a favorable image of The Salvation Army Unloads the truck at the Christmas warehouse Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to meet attendance requirements; Must have physical strength adequate to carry and unload materials from truck and in warehouse; Requires considerable physical effort and may entail some pressure and fatigue; Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects; Ability to perform continuous walking stooping, standing and some climbing; Ability to adequately carry and unload materials from truck and in warehouse; Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to fluctuating temperatures and discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU: Education and Experience: High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred but not required.
