Middlebury Natural Foods Co-op is looking to expand our deli team as we begin our new rotisserie chicken program! In our deli we are committed to providing our community with nutritious, high quality foods. Deli staff provide excellent customer service, maintain a clean and well-stocked department, and are positive contributors to the Deli Department team. They prepare and package quality food in an open, professional kitchen; maintain retail displays of deli and bakery items to keep shelves looking fresh and fully stocked. They follow all established procedures, working both independently and as a team to achieve department goals. No experience necessary but must be comfortable with the physical requirements of the job and handling raw poultry. Our ideal candidate has experience: • Providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment • Demonstrating strong communication skills • Thriving while working with a large team completing varied tasks • Preparing large volumes of food following high standards • Maintaining ServSafe safety and sanitation guidelines This is a part-time position with benefits including dental and vision, 3+ weeks paid time off, 20% store discount, profit-sharing bonus, 401k with matching 3%, paid parental leave, employee assistance program, and more. This position comes with a set weekly schedule. We are looking for Sunday (11:30-7:30), Monday (10:00-6:00), Wednesday (10:00-6:00) availability.
