Related Job Titles Maintenance Associate • Store Maintenance Associate • Retail Maintenance Associate • Facilities Associate • Janitorial Associate • Custodian • Store Custodian Responsibilities What You'll Do Cleaning & Maintenance • Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the store and surrounding areas by cleaning floors, restrooms, breakrooms, fixtures, displays, parking lots, and exterior areas; operating a floor scrubber; emptying trash; and restocking supplies. • Perform basic maintenance and repairs, including changing light bulbs, addressing minor plumbing issues, and repairing damaged fixtures. • Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance needs, and malfunctioning equipment. Store Support • Assist with unloading trucks, stocking, zoning, and other store activities as needed. • Provide friendly and professional support to customers and associates. • Participate in cross-training and required learning opportunities. • Demonstrate Rural King’s values of People First, Integrity, Attitude, Initiative, Teamwork, Accountability, and Continuous Improvement. • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Physical Requirements • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. • Ability to lift, push, and/or pull 30 pounds repetitively and 31–50 pounds intermittently. • Ability to navigate and access all areas of the store and related facilities. • Ability to perform cleaning, maintenance, and physical store-support tasks. • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and associates. • Close vision required for computer-related activities.
