The function of this position is to perform basic phlebotomy and laboratory assistant duties. A variety of tasks fall within this classification such as blood collection from patients of all ages, collection of body fluid specimens (i.e. urine) and cultures and other functions within the department under the supervision of a medical technologist.nnThe schedule is variable 8:00am start time and 9:30am start time on weekdays and then every other weekend- evening shift 2:30pm start timen The In-Patient Phlebotomist role Performs venipuncture, capillary and arterial collections (arterial after 1 yr experience) on infants, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.
