Grind/Wash Laborer Mitchell, IN Location Reports to: Weld Supervisor Department: Grind/Wash FLSA Status: Non-Exempt EEO Classification: Laborer The position is a Full-time, First shift position (M-F 5:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m.). If OT is required, your end time would be 3:30 (M-Th.) no OT on Fridays. If Saturday OT is required, the hours would be 5:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. The starting pay is $15/hour. You will have 30, 60, 90-day evaluations at which time you'll have an opportunity to earn more money. Primary Purpose A Grid/Wash Laborer is responsible for grinding rough areas on steel racks with an electric hand grinder and washing steel racks to prepare them for paint. Essential Duties • Operate an electric hand grinder 8 hours (at a minimum) 8 hours a day/5 days a week. • Operate a power washer 8 hours (at a minimum) 8 hours a day/5 days a week. • Frequently lifting, pushing, pulling up to 60 pounds individually, 60 lbs.+ with a team lift, operate a power washer, operate a hand grinder. • Other duties as assigned.
