Full description

This Opportunity WSP is seeking a Regional Business Development Director – Texas to help drive growth across our Power Delivery business in Houston, TX. The following locations will also be considered: New Orleans, LA and Dallas, TX. This senior leadership position will focus on identifying and developing high-value opportunities, expanding strategic client relationships, strengthening our market position, and leading critical pursuits across the Texas. This is an opportunity for an experienced business development leader who understands how utilities and infrastructure clients make investment decisions and can connect those needs with the full capabilities of WSP. Your Impact • Build and deepen executive client relationships, creating sustained engagement with key clients and positioning WSP's differentiated capabilities. • Drive strategic growth initiatives aligned with WSP's market positioning, revenue objectives and broader business strategy. • Develop market and competitive intelligence, assessing trends and prioritizing high-value opportunities and growth sectors. • Lead strategic pursuits and capture efforts, providing senior oversight of complex proposals, client presentations and strategic marketing initiatives. • Guide critical client negotiations and partnerships, working across the organization to align opportunities with WSP's strategic objectives and risk considerations. • Contribute directly to revenue growth, backlog, market expansion, client retention and competitive positioning across the business. • Provide insight on market trends, client needs, competitive positioning and investment priorities to help shape business development and long-term growth strategies. Who You Are Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a closely related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience. • 15+ years of relevant post-education professional experience in senior-level business development, strategic marketing, client relationship management, sales leadership or related executive roles. • Demonstrated experience identifying, evaluating and capturing complex, high-value business opportunities in professional services. • Experience conducting market research, competitive assessments and strategic analyses to inform growth and market-expansion decisions. • A track record of developing and sustaining executive-level client relationships and managing strategic client engagements and negotiations. • Advanced experience with strategic proposals, executive presentations and high-impact marketing materials. What Success Looks Like The successful candidate will operate as a market leader and client strategist, not simply an opportunity manager. They will bring together client relationships, market intelligence and WSP's technical capabilities to establish early positioning, focus investment on the right opportunities and convert relationships into sustainable growth. They will also be comfortable working across organizational boundaries, bringing the right leaders and technical experts to clients and helping WSP present an integrated value proposition. Why This Role Matters Power Delivery represents a relationship-driven market where major opportunities are often shaped well before a formal procurement begins. This position is intended to strengthen that early client engagement and opportunity development while bringing greater strategic discipline to pursuit and capture. The underlying role profile identifies its impact as revenue growth, market expansion, client retention, backlog development and stronger competitive positioning. #LI-PR1
